If you’re someone who is comfortable with the “business side” of projects, you are probably the right person to become a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®). While the ScrumMaster helps the Scrum Team work together to learn and implement Scrum, as a CSPO, you create the product vision, order the Product Backlog, and make sure the best possible job is done to delight the customer.
As a seasoned veteran in the IT industry and the first CST in Israel, Danko is a well recognized international speaker with unique ways of presenting Scrum to newcomers. His first steps began in 1997 when he completed 5 years of service in the Israeli army in a special elite program, where he was Group Manager in a computer unit. Afterwards, Danko joined a startup by the name of EagleEye, a subsidiary company of New Dimension where he was in charge of several development groups.
In 2000, BMC purchased New Dimension and Eagle Eye became a business unit of BMC. In 2005, Danko was exposed to Scrum and from that date there was no looking back. Danko gained more and more knowledge and experience in Agile and specifically in Scrum and found himself lecturing and helping other companies to implement Scrum.
After leaving BMC, he served as VP R&D in several companies and when the demand for Scrum was too much to handle in parallel, he resigned all posts and became an independent consultant. After an intensive year in which Danko lectured and implemented Scrum in dozens of companies, he initiated AgileSparks. Danko has left AgileSparks on 2017 and founded Ajimeh, a company that dedicated its vision to help other companies to fulfil their potential by expanding their business consciousness mainly by AGILE tools but also with other tools BEYOND AGILE like leadership, mindfulness, facilitation techniques, negotiation gambits and more
Danko is best known for his great enthusiasm for Scrum and his unique ways of delivering workshops.
For online offering, training duration is 14 hours at least and for in class offering, duration is 16 hours.
At this time, there is no test requirement to earn a CSPO certification. Successfully attending the two-day, in-person or live-online course taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®) will result toward certification.
After completing the course, you will receive a welcome email from Scrum Alliance® prompting you to accept the license agreement for your CSPO certification. After accepting the agreement, you will be able to download and print copies of your certification.
Those who aspire to earn a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification are required to take an in-person, two-day (16 hour) CSPO course or a live-online 14-hour CSPO course with one of our certified trainers and/or receive 25 hours of private coaching from a Certified Agile Coach (CAC). Upon successfully completing the training, you will receive a certification account on our website where you will be able to access your newly earned CSPO certification.
Although we acknowledge that individuals may have prior experience with the Scrum framework or received training from a different Scrum-certifying body, we believe that hands-on, interactive learning with our experienced trainers and coaches is fundamental when learning about the role of the Product Owner. Those who earn a Certified Product Owner designation demonstrate a clear understanding of the CSPO Learning Objectives addressed in the in-person course.
Please note that all approved courses that lead to CSPO certification are found on ScrumAlliance Course Search page; they must be taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer®, Certified Team Coach®, and/or Certified Enterprise Coach®. If you found a CSPO class through a third-party, please ensure it is listed on our Course Search page or contact support@scrumalliance.org to ensure its validity toward Scrum Alliance's CSPO certification.
